ABOUT BEAR MOUNTAIN LODGE
Tucked between forest, lake, and Maine’s rugged coastline, Bear Mountain Lodge is a boutique lodge hotel and private lakefront retreat set on 560 wooded acres with approximately 1,100 feet of frontage on Howard Lake. Guests may book an individual room for a nightly stay, reserve the Guest Lodge for groups of up to 16 overnight guests, or reserve the Full Lodge—including both connected buildings—for groups of up to 24.

Located just off scenic Route 1 near Eastport and the Canadian border, the lodge blends authentic North Woods character with comfortable accommodations and an extensive collection of indoor and outdoor amenities. Guests can enjoy direct lake access, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, a floating island, fishing equipment, walking and hiking trails, game rooms, a fitness room, an outdoor hot tub, high-speed internet, indoor and outdoor gathering areas, wood and propane firepits, and two fully equipped kitchens available for guest use.

The lodge also offers convenient access to an extensive local ATV and snowmobile trail network connecting with the Downeast Sunrise Trail. Guests are welcome to bring their own machines and explore miles of scenic trails throughout Downeast Maine.

Bear Mountain Lodge also hosts larger daytime gatherings, including weddings, family reunions, anniversaries, celebrations of life, corporate retreats, and other private events. Surrounded by abundant wildlife and minutes from Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, the lodge is a peaceful home base for exploring Eastport, the Bold Coast, Campobello Island, St. Andrews, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park.
